New York, Day 1...

The next few posts are reprinted with permission from my friend Dulcey. They have been edited and amended by me. We saw so much, it is just easier this way. If you would like to read the originals, pop over to Bead Art and spend some time. There is great eyecandy there too.

We are in Manhattan! So today[Thursday] (after a 1.5 hour delay), we arrived, talked to Marya [beady friend, originally from MN]on the phone, and [her hubby]Bruno led us around. We took the subway, went to the top of Rockefeller Center, went to the main library, St. Patrick's Cathedral, the gift shop at MOMA[where I had to get these, so cool], the Japanese book store, Times Square and Hard Rock[so I could get my pin, it's dorky but that's what I do], and I don't know what-all. We met Marya for lunch for fabulous Indian (she had to go back to work). We are done walking for the evening, sitting at her HUGE apartment drinking some pale ale. Handsome Bruno is cooking for us. We've checked out Marya's studio, and it's fabulous. Carol is listing[that's how I know I am tired] and babbling on the phone, and I'm contemplating how I'm going to stand up again. I do think chocolate fondue for dessert will provide incentive for us to stand up again.[We stayed in, so tired and a bit tipsy, decided to save ourselves for Friday]
