I love my leather slides for spring and summer. You may recall I painted a pair last year in Citrine?

I picked these lovelies up on mega clearance 2 years ago. Wore them once or twice but really they are just too too PINK. So I got to thinking about altering them. Maybe some collage, or a fabric band to tone down the color. One of the fabrics I picked out was black with white polka dots, I thought it was going to be perfect but... it didn't speak to me and then I had the "aha!" moment. Pink polka dots! I used stickers to mask off my dots and since I didn't have any appropriate black paint I pulled out the Black Staz-On ink pad. Donned plastic gloves and started dabbing.

Now my shoes rock!

I know I should be working on the other stuff but wardrobe re do's are so much fun (wait till you see what I have in store for some much loved linen skirts)
